OMG! I have just about split my side open watching Conan tonite – he just did the funniest parody on Gov. Arnold and it was too funny!

but in other news – i haven’t felt like stiching the past couple of days so I have been working on the magazine database. With information contributed by others and with some of my own magazines, I think I have added about 20 magazines to the database since Sunday. I added several issues of the UK Cross Stitcher magazine and a few issues of Just Cross Stitch.

I will most likely continue on tomorrow with this. I am really aiming to get all my issues of Just Cross Stitch added so if I make a big push, I think I can get about a third of them entered before the holidays. Either that or I’ll feel like stitching again. :)

Not much else to report. I can’t wait for the holidays to get here. I am SO RESTLESS for the time that I will get to spend off work, last day is December 23rd and I don’t go back until Jan 5th. I absolutely cannot wait! I don’t know how much of that I’ll get to stitch seeing as that we will visit the boys during part of that, but it will be well deserved time to relax.

I have a dilemma with my Noah’s Ark. Because I am doing it four times as large I realized in the past couple of days that the stitching I am doing on the center panel with the ark, now looks blocky (or “pixelated” as one of my friends referred to it). The reason this is happening is that instead of there being one stitch – there is now a square of four of any particular color.

What this means then is that I am going to have to get a little creative. Another friend of mine recommended that I blend threads in places where it looks blocky. So, I’m up to the task and fortunately have not stitched very much in that middle block, but that will have to be a project for another weekend. Noah’s Ark is being put aside for now. I’m not going to take a picture of it right now though as I want to wait until I’ve progressed on it some more.

So, last night I’m at my LNS with my stitching group and my friend Betty starts picking out materials to knit an afghan. In addition to that, another stitcher started knitting an afghan last night. I am way to assimilistic (is that even a word??) and of course thought – I feel like knitting something too! So, I began a new afghan.
I only have about 5 rows right now (130 stitches across – using 10.5 circulars) so it will be awhile before I have any significant progress to show.

I do want to get some time in on Camelot Sampler this weekend, so I am going to try and alternate the knitting with the stitching. Tonite though for sure it will be knitting.

What does the title of this post mean? It’s just the name of song that popped into my head when I reflect on the fact that November is gone. It’s by Wyclef Jean. But truly, I cannot believe another month is over. Only one more month to go in 2003. (and only 27 more days till I get to see DH again! We haven’t seen each other since Aug 14th). I have already started my Christmas shopping, but still have plenty more to do.

Well, the theme this month on the TW Board was Nautical November. So, when I was looking at my TW’s this weekend considering which one to work on, Noah’s Ark seemed quite appropriate. So, that’s what I have been working on the past couple of days. I have put in another 10 hours on my Honkin Big Noah’s Ark and here is the picture.

I am doing this four times as large so I don’t have to do the animals over one. It’s not hard to do, but this thing is huge! I’m so excited. :)

And I am enjoying it so much, I will continue to work on it for at least the next couple of days. I hope to put a new pic up later this week.
