Didn’t think I’d ever post again did ya??
Well, if you read the TW board, chances are you probably saw my post last week that DH and I found out we are going to have a little one. Very, very exciting news!! We are thrilled about it and though will have to make some changes, we are looking forward to it. At present, I am approx 4 weeks along — as I know within days when conception occured.
However, that makes me one tired camper all the time and in some ways I feel like my life is falling apart. I have been working so much lately and no time at night b/c I’m in bed so early that I’ve fallen behind in so many things. I’ve fallen behind in my coursework. I’ve fallen behind in my stitching. I’ve fallen behind in my websites, and even keeping the apt clean – just fallen behind in everything!
I am struggling to catch up now and desparetely trying to get into a routine. I’m determined that April is my month though.
So, my posts may be a bit sporadic, but I’m confident I’ll be back into the swing of things soon. Just keep checking every so often.

Last night my LNS sponsored a trunk show by Funk & Weber Designs. It was a very interesting show! This is a couple that earn their living as winter caretakers in remote locations in Alaska. Last night, they did a slide show presentation with pictures and told their story about what they do out there and how they live. I found it all very fascinating, but you know what? It wouldn’t be me!
They were often without running water, without electricity, and without neighbors. You can read about their lifestyle on their website.
Their designs focus on Alaska and wildlife, so yes, I purchased some. I wasn’t too bad though. If you look at their designs page, I bought The Great Outdoor Sampler, Puzzle Pieces, Portraits of the Wild Life, and The Neighborhood. I particularly like the Great Outdoors sampler – Jen walked me through all the letters and what they mean. I’ll have to document it all before I forget it though – who knows when I’ll ever get around to stitching it.
And, as for my stitching, I’ve been working on Tapestry of My Life this week. I don’t think I’ve stitched more than three hours this week, so I don’t have much to show. But, my friend is having a stitch day tomorrow so it’s all about the stitching then!

Lo and behold, guess what came on TV today – The Godfather Part II. So, I watched it.
Another great movie and again, there were a few parts that I kept waiting to happen b/c I knew it was coming.
However, for most of the day i was in a really blah mood. At one point, I had to put my stitching down b/c I didn’t feel like doing it, but when the movie came on, I picked it back up. Last night I started a project for Kalonji – my espresso drinker
Again, it’s another quick project and one I should be able to finish. Did I mention that I’m on a quick project roll here….

Who knows if I’ll continue to work on this week, that’s doubtful, but at least if I get the urge to finish something, this will be one of the candidates. I am feeling an urge to work on TW’s Woodland Fairie…

History was made yesterday – I watched The Godfather in its entirety. Here’s the background, my mother and brother are HUGE Godfather fans. They used to watch that movie all the time while I was growing up. All the time. Yet, despite that, I was never interested and never bothered to ever really watch it. Because they watched it so much there were certain things that I knew from the movie (and the sequels), but I always resisted it. I resisted watching it for years and it finally got to a point where I was happy to say I’ve never seen it. (odd thing about me – i can often resist watching movies). But I love the genre of movies; one of my favorite movies is Goodfellas and I’m a huge Sopranos fan. But, had never seen The Godfather.
Until yesterday.
It came on one of my HBO channels so I decided I would watch it. It was good – and I’m not surprised. I know it’s a great movie. So, it was enlightening to actually know the story behind some of the things I knew happened as my family watched it so much. Now, I have to see the sequels.
And, in stitching news – I worked on palm trees most of the day. Here is my pic:

Late last night I started a project for Kalonji. I’ll probably post it later on. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

And it was wonderful! Kalonji and I walked around the French Quarter all day for two days straight. NO is such a wonderful city – I’m envious of all the people who do live there. I ate lots of good food and had a very relaxing time. I certainly needed it, work has been continually hectic, hence I have not been updating my blog as regularly. While we were in New Orleans, we took this this picture and I was tickled throught the whole process. I’ve never done anything like that before. Kalonji is a huge Jazz fan, so that was the idea we were going for.
But, I have done some stitching lately. B/c I have been so busy, I needed a project that would go quickly. So I started this exactly one week ago and finished it tonite. It is for my sister.

So, I hope to stitch more over the weekend, so, stay tuned for my next picture.
