EDITOR: -We are still at work in Pulaski at the one great cause, viz.: the up building of the A.M.E. Church. The church appears to be in a good condition and is laboring assiduously for the downfall of Satan's Kingdom Presiding Elder' L.N. Merry is with us and is active in the discharge of his duty. Our quarterly meeting commenced Friday Evening July 31st and continues to Monday Evening August 3rd at which time there will be fifty baptized and upwards of one hundred read into full membership. We are prospering finely with our new church and expect to lay the corner stone August 2nd with appropriate ceremonies. We expect Bishop Brown (if he is able) to be present; also Dr. Revels, Rev. J.W. Early, Rev. R. Williams and other eminent Divines. We would be glad to have a General officer with us, for our people are anxious for a visit from one of them.
