The kingdom of heaven celebrates the arrival of Wayland Koonce who passed away Feb. 7, 2002, following complications of illness associated with cancer. Wayland was born May 16, 1918, in Fort Worth. He was a devoted family man, a Christian believer and a loving, adoring husband. He and Mary had three children together, Gary Wayland Koonce, Alan Ray Koonce and Douglas Hoyt Koonce.
