Joseph Wimberly- 1812
Description of Joseph & Sarah Wimberly
As published in Recollections of a Lifetime by Mary Katherine Killebrew.
"My grandfather Wimberley was rather a sporting character, loving games, and horse racing, but did not indulge to excess. However, he would get very merry over his bottle, always with company, was very liberal, and the poor people, knowing his disposition, would often take advantage of him in his jolly moods. He never refused them anything they asked for. I do not know the date of his birth or death, but know he died before his wife, who was a good housewife, staying at home, attending to her children and household duties. She was born in 1767 and died in 1817."
