Who’s Who in New England (1909)

The Who’s Who books are great sources of short biographical information about many, many people. Last week, the Allen County Public Library uploaded the 1909 Who’s Who in New England to the Internet Archive.

The book includes nearly 10,000 bios on the “ leading men and women of the states of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut” and is more than 1100 pages long. There does not appear to be a name index, so you’ll have to flip through the pages. There is also a series of educational announcements in the back that begin on page 1048.

Recently added to the Internet Archive are the yearbooks of Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. How great to have such a wide time span now available online!

The collection starts with the Etonian yearbook and continues until after the yearbook changed names to the Conestogian. You can find them listed here.
